What is the problem of coming back under another name anyway ? Business is just a game really.

These businesses (not saying this one in particular) go bankrupt, then come back as another company/business and start all over again. In doing so all the people they owe money to don't get paid, all debt is written off. They are then debt free and trade under a different name without actually losing anything while the people who backed them or sold stock to them lose out. It's not a nice thing to do and there is no law that can stop them from doing it over and over again. So yes it is a game but some people don't play fair.

A director of a (bankrupt) company cannot become another director for 6 years, unless it is discharged sooner.
But for the avoidance of doubt, I don't think this is what is happening here.

True, but they can have a partner as the director. There is a small shop in my town, owned by a family that keeps declaring bankruptcy then comes back as the same shop in another name in the very next week.

With stock going out over such a short period and the subsequent closure of the premises, they either had a bumper sale on Thursday afternoon, or something else occurred? |

I suspect it was sent back to suppliers.
As I say, I was there on Saturday and it was very much empty, and it was Tracey who said they were closing etc etc. In reality, I wouldn't expect a business to give 'advance notice' of closing, and right up until the last minute would continue to trade as normal... otherwise suppliers would have that advance notice to call in their debts.

Just as a confirmation...
This is the only post they've made on their facebook site since the weekend... "Surrey Pet Supplies - I am afraid it is true we have closed down as from this weekend Like · Reply · Sunday at 23:29"

They were also advertising the disposal of animals in their show enclosures. These included some nice specimens. However, moving such a group in short order would I think be quite a test?
