As it happens, I've done some more on the electrics today too, though I need to go to B&Q again tomorrow to buy 2 more drill bits

Anyway, what is it you want to know?!
This is how it looks as of tonight:

On the far left I have the master switch box, which is basically an over-ride for the various things... then I've got a remote socket for my exterior lights, then another remote socket for the outdoor waterfall, then I've got a mechanical timer for the lights, this leads into a junction box where I'll split the power between the UV tube and a daylight bulb. Finally, I'll run my thermostat from the switch box, but it has it's own 2 plug sockets for both the tube heater and a ceramic heater.

Once I've got the new drill bits, I'll drill a hole in the floor to take my armoured cable out to my garage where I have an RCD waiting

Not much progress on the pen though today, I had to buy and paint some more log-roll sections, so they're drying now for tomorrow. In the meanwhile I braced all the joins with strips of metal just to add some more rigidity

Todays progress was more about finishing off bits and bobs, so no huge visible progress.

I filled in the edge of the log roll to the garden, and put some concrete on the 'inside' edge, only a small amount to just stop the 'infill' from pouring under the fencing.

The main part of the fencing is done, but I can't get to the final bit (along the fence) until the old house comes out.
You can now see the (odd) shape that the new enclosure is going to be

Yet more electrics on the house, the strip light now mounted. The final bits will need to be harvested from their existing house when I swap them over.
I have done a first coat of varnish on the inside of the doors, I was a bit worried these were not protected, and since the doors will be open overnight and possibly get wet, I thought I'd better do something!. Will do a couple more coats and then they should be good.

Not sure they'll be in this weekend, but I'll try my best!!, still got loads of landscaping to do, but I think I'll get the new house hooked up and then do the landscaping!

Thanks
It's raining today so won't be able to make much progress. But heading off to Surrey pet supplies to pick up some lighting bits.

It is looking really good, do you know at this stage what plants, if any you will be putting in. I am revamping Tort Lodge Gardens, I made the mistake of putting in tort friendly perennials and they were eaten within minutes!!!! X x Stella x

I don't know yet
I am hoping to have a spider plant and an Aloe inside their house, but annoyingly was given then wrong 'daylight' bulb yesterday... I was hoping to have a UVA bulb and was sold a Heat Bulb instead.
So that's probably not going to help the plants really - it was only £4, but annoying none-the-less.

In terms of main enclosure planting, I do have a general list, but nothing bought yet.

Today mainly because of the awful weather I concentrated on finishing stuff off.
So 2 more coast of varnish done:

And have tidied the electrics and got them as far as I can before I remove the old house and swap some of the electrics over.

Need to do some more work in earnest on the pen now, so here is hoping for some decent weather tomorrow.
