Suze, if it was up to me, it would be like a zoo here - no horses though, I'm scared of horses. We don't have chickens either, the dogs would have them in an instant. - lots of chicken houses though .

How lovely to see three of them in there.

Yes, I've got a method to uncurl them, and the one in the picture was very friendly (and young), I hope he felt better after a bit of de-ticking... he didn't have fleas but we've got some flea powder for them if I do come across one with them.

This is one in the house last year:

But, it's not that clever and I've had to make a few changes from standard - like felting the roof, putting it on stands, adding a ramp and (not shown in the picture) I had to add a tunnel to stop issues like this one:

Very cute photo of the hedgehog. Hubby felted the roofs on ours too, and also has put short feet on them with rubber covers, otherwise for £40 each, they don't last very long. I cut up some old shower mats and put them on the base inside, to try to keep it a bit drier. What on earth is that animal in the B&W photo?

looks like fox!

I love the idea of this!! tempted to get something like that for the bottom of the inlaws garden (we don't really have a garden) as can imagine them liking it, or even my own parents!!

Love the idea of a tunnel to help stop foxes!

It is indeed a fox, he still comes around every night, but once he realises he can't reach into the house he slopes off.
about 2 mins after that screenshot was taken he chewed through the camera cable :S
