Lynn the recess ledges are sloping and not very wide, so I couldn't put anything on them.

Jonathan, your right, I'm sure it is a bit pricy, BUT, I didn't pay for it, my neighbour put it up, cos he wanted to build an extension on his house for his mum and she wanted a brick wall for her court yard garden, it's my boundary, but I'm very happy with it ! So we have decided to have a wall across the bottom of the garden too, which he is building in October, obviously he's not doing that one for free. So I feel very lucky.
