To answer your question, yes I have nearly injured myself in the line of tortoise duty, stupidly trying to carry a table of top soil along the landing and down the stairs by myself and nearly breaking my back in the process, or flying arse over t#* tripping over a tortoise table or tortoise or edge of outdoor enclosure. And recently stung picking dead nettle, an actual stinging nettle was lurking in the middle of it.
