Hi Jan, yes she did. After a lot of hard work she laid one surprisingly large egg which is now in the incubator. The hermanni hermanni do lay fewer eggs in a clutch than a lot of other species. Sometimes just one.

Last time Septimus laid 3 eggs but sadly 2 of them were damaged because the ground was too stoney. The third one hatched was OK. After that I dug over the soil in that coldframe and removed the larger stones and added a load of coir to make it a light workable soil then compacted it down.

Although I've seen it a number of times now the nest building and egg laying still amaze me.
