How To Make Calcium Blocks

Hi all,

I thought i'd post this on how to make calcium blocks.

What You'll need

1 Bowl
1 Spoon
1 Cup of Water
1 Bag of Limestone Flour
1 Ice Cube Tray

Pour Some Water & Limestone Flour into a bowl. Mix till you make a thickish paste,If it's too watery just add more limestone flour

Once you've made it into a paste pour/scoop it into an ice cube tray

Wait 24- 48 hours till it's completely dry then give to your tortoises.

My lot won't touch the stuff on their food or eat it from dishes and i've found this was the best way to give it to them :D

can you use calcium powder? I bought some and dont use it cos my babies wont touch the food with it on but will eat food with nutrobal on.

what do you mean by calcium powder? limestone flour is 100% calcium carbonate. anything else that is called calcium powder may have additives in it
